Japanese phones are able to check local train schedules. It’s really easy for anyone to just type in where they’re going, and their cell phone will tell them which line to take, where to transfer, and when to get on and off.
My iPhone cannot do this!! This is so frustrating! So, I scanned in the little cards you can get at the Station, and labelled them, and uploaded to Flickr. These are the lines I take most often. I still need to find Sannomiya’s card.
If you live in Kansai, you might find some of them useful, too. Just download them, and keep them in a folder in your photo library. Now you know when you need to rush to the station, or when you can enjoy your drink a little longer.
I’ll update the Flickr set as soon as I pick up more useful schedule cards.
