Recently I’ve made some cards for friends and family using construction paper. I have a LOT of construction paper at my house and need to put it to good use, although I could never use it all. I’ll give you some if you want.
I really like this kind of work. I’ve cut a lot of zip-a-tone and rubylith over the years, but this is different. It’s more challenging when I can’t trace the shape underneath a translucent material. I get to guess and check the shapes I cut as I figure out what to overlap with what.
Here’s a card that I made for one of my coworkers. He’s the only member of the staff who’s younger than me, started after me, AND is in the English department. He is a lovable nerd who takes his job way too seriously, like all Japanese people, so I gave him some fake tattoos as a present.
