Daily comic strip

I’m not sure how long I can keep this up, but I’ve been drawing a daily newspaper comic strip and posting it online. I think I’ve only been late one day. Will this be a tiny project or will it take up too much of my time (hint: it already is). Then, will I keep it up or stop it? Will I stop it intentionally, or because I’m too lazy? I dunno. It’s fun to try for a little while. Here’s today’s Sunday strip (click to enlarge):

  1. i’m really diggin your sunday strips, this coloring is really nice. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how the hardest comics (for me) to draw successfully are short strips, i rely too much on having however many pages i need to get to the point. 3 panels, so hard! that umezz collage below is really awesome to read too

  2. Hey thanks noel. You know, that’s funny, because I often think that I’m really uncomfortable with longer-form (more patient?) storytelling, that I really want to cram the happening into few panels, even though really slow comics like Brian Ralph’s Cave In and Ware’s Jimmy Corrigan are the stuff that I read when I was falling in love with comics.

These daily strips, anyway, are “experimental” and I don’t know how or if they’re successful, other than at being cheeky.
