Internet world update

I am very, very busy working on my CCC story, which despite my best efforts is now behind schedule. I have also been keeping good records on my teaching journal, which is now displayed prominently on my <— left sidebar.

Speaking of the internet, any fauxlinguaphilles should check out this video by a guy who pretends to speak the sounds of other languages. He’s really convincing, and a bunch of people from all over the world responded to him. You can hear fake Japanese, French, Spanish, and more.

Also speaking of the internet, I am very baffled by the introduction of a new Facebook layout and a new Google thing in the same day. “Web 2.0” sure is something, isn’t it?

If you don’t know what web 2.0 is, you should follow some cool scams or cults which I recently learned some relatives of mine are in. They’re based around using social media to help you achieve your dreams.

Also on the internet, “Mr. Momus” closed his blog today after many years of writing wonderful, strange, provocative, and idiotic pieces about Japan, art, culture, globalism, glocalism, post-modernism, fashion, and other things. I only started following this blog recently, but anyone could go back and look through his archives and find tons of good stuff. He stopped blogging because February 10th is his 50th birthday and he wants to do something else. He did a great job and I think February 10th should be Momus Day.

Final internet thoughts… hmm… nah, that’s it for now, I guess.
