It’s still warm enough to ride to school on my bike most days. It’s kind of a pain in the mornings to get up a little earlier and colder, and it’s really a pain when it gets dark at 5:30 before I get home, but having a bike at work is awesome. I can have a quick lunch in Sannomiya, the center of the city, and be back before 5th period is over. I can go shopping or do whatever. When I’m on foot, I’m trapped in the school’s boring neighborhood where the only restaurants are some expensive oba-chan cafés and fast foot.
This week I explored the boring neighborhood a little further and went up the big hill that we’re on the side of. The view is really nice, especially around 3:30 when the sun is getting low.
